### evolution 1 · the egg becomes specific to a place and a body.
right now every song egg in the world hears the same quantum vacuum and produces statistically identical music.
👁️ want each egg to also know where it is and what is around it, so the music becomes a fingerprint of that body in that place at that moment.
important to figure how data gets in, sensor on egg or use user's phone to get heartbeats.
also if user allows or has eeg reader; collect eeg dream patterns (dreams as sub-conscioys chaos?) as further entropy patterns.
**data layers to fold into the equation, sourced through the website during build/setup or live:**

the base planck sonification transform stays.
the constants (220 hz base pitch, the 1.5 octave range, the 80–300 ms duration window) become functions of place.
for example: base frequency could shift with the schumann fundamental at the user’s latitude.
duration could stretch with atmospheric pressure. amplitude could modulate with local seismic activity. each egg becomes a unique instrument tuned to its place.

** how much of this data is pulled once at first setup (a “birth certificate” for the egg) versus continuously updated?
some data is slow (geology) and some is fast (weather, geomagnetic).

### evolution 2 · two eggs become a real-time earth network
once each egg is location-aware, what happens when a second egg activates somewhere else on the planet. two eggs is enough to define a network. more eggs only enrich it.
**core question to resolve: does each egg’s music change when other eggs come online, or does the central website synthesize all eggs into one new emergent song that everyone hears together.

each local egg stays mostly itself (the personal music) but is gently shaped by the others (a “harmonic influence” from the network).
the website hosts a separate stream — the meta-song — that is the network speaking as one organism.
**technical architecture to figure out:
- real-time connection layer: websockets, supabase realtime, firebase, mqtt, or partykit
- a central coordinator on the server that holds the current state of every connected egg and broadcasts the network state back
- a “meta-equation” for the emergent earth song — probably a weighted combination of all eggs’ current notes, where the weighting reflects geographic distribution
- latency tolerance — the speed of light from canberra to los angeles is ~50 ms. acceptable. egg-to-egg around the world should target under 500 ms
**earth-scale data to feed into the network equation.**

**technical realities to scope.**
- a 1u cubesat (10cm cube, ~1.3kg) is the cheapest path. build cost ~$50–100k. launch cost ~$50–300k for low earth orbit via spacex rideshare (transporter missions), rocket lab, or iss deployment via nanoracks. almost within reach.
- if we go above low earth orbit gets significantly more expensive.
lunar orbit secondary payloads on artemis missions are the most realistic route.
these missions run $5–20m+, but partnership with a university or nasa cubesat launch initiative slot could subsidize heavily.
